So have you seen the last Harry Potter film? We saw it last night and loved it. I particularly like a line from Dumbledore. At one point Harry asks him whether what he was experiencing as real or just in his head. Dumbledore told him “Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?” I like this quote but not sure I agreed with it. I do agree our thoughts create our experience in life, our ‘reality’. However it is not reality. It is an illusion of reality. Change your thoughts it changes your experience, your ‘reality’.
You may have experienced times of being stressed at work. However in the same job you may have experienced times being stress free and more relaxed. How about when you return from a holiday? The first few days of work seem to so easy and relaxed. What changes? The job is still the same. It is how you think about it.
A sports team are all under the same amount of pressure. How come some feel more stressed which impacts their performance more than others? It is not the game, they are all in the same game. It is their thinking about it, how they think about it creates their experience of it.
So in once sense your thinking does create your reality. However it is an illusion of reality. What are you thinking that is creating your reality? What stories are you telling yourself that you can change and improve your experience?
