Change Blindness

This video is a wonderful example of how we cannot take everything in through out eyes to our concious awarenesss.  Our subconscious is aware of about 2million things a second (including instincts), our concious mind only aware of between 5-9 things at any one time.  So what decides what information gets in to our concious awareness?  We filter the information and our filters are based on our life experience, memories, beliefs and values.   If someone has a low self esteems it is likely they just don’t see the guys noticing them as they walk down the steet – although their friends do see it happening (I had a client like this who even I noticed a guy making eyes at her as I opened the door to let her in!).    This is the power of our thoughts.  ‘What the thinker thinks, the prover proves’.  Your unconcious mind just doesn’t want to make a lier of you.  How many times have you lost your phone or keys only to find them under your nose or on the table you looked at twice already?  You were probably telling yourslef you cannot find your keys – guess what, you couldn’t see your keys.  Next time you loose something tell yourself that you can find them and be amazed at how much quicker you find them!   You may think you have limiting beliefs of thought processes that are impacting the way you see and experience life.  If so, contact me and let’s see how I can help you.
